The Student Voice at The Highcrest Academy
The Student Voice comprises of the Sixth Form Student Leadership Team, Subject Ambassadors, Prefects, Student Parliament and Year Council.

Sixth Form Student Leadership Team
The Sixth Form Leadership Team is made up of the Head Boy, Head Girl, Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl and a team of sixth formers who applied for the roles of Head Boy and Head Girl. The role involves meeting as a group on a regular basis to discuss both Sixth Form and whole school issues.

Sixth form students are selected by departments to represent them at school events and help out with their department. Students ambassadors play an active role in promoting the subject and supporting younger students with their learning within the subject. This can be within GLAS lessons or afterschool interventions.

The Prefect Team is made up of Year 11 students who have applied to become prefects towards the end of Year 10. The successful students receive leadership training and are asked to carry out a variety of duties on a weekly basis as well as supporting Parents' Evenings and Open Evening.
Prefects are role models for all other students in the school and can be identified by their prefect tie and badge.

Student Parliament
This is a group of students comprising of the Head Boy, Head Girl, a Group of Year 11 Student Leaders and two students from Years 7 - 10. Meeting are held once every half term to discuss further points risen by students within the school. Following the meeting actions are taken to a SLT meeting and then feedback to the whole school.
