Free School Meals

Click here for an application form for Free School Meals

Those students entitled to free school meals receive a daily allowance of £2.90 which can only be used for the meal deal. The amount is automatically put on to the student’s School Gateway account every day. Parents can additionally top the account up should the student wish to purchase anything at break time.

Buckinghamshire Council is currently providing free digital food vouchers to help support families over the holidays. They use a company called Wonde who then send an EVoucher automatically to the parents/carers eligible for Free School Meals.  These vouchers are normally sent within the last week of the term/half term.

Free school meals are available to children whose parents or carers are currently receiving one of the following benefits:
  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • The guaranteed element of Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit - if you apply on or after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)
