At The Highcrest Academy, we are the only all ability academy in Buckinghamshire, we do whatever it takes to tackle disadvantage and provide an outstanding education to everyone. At The Highcrest Academy, we provide our new staff, including our ECTs, with an excellent induction and support programme and an innovative and extensive continuous professional development package here. Indeed, our training has been praised as outstanding by an external assessor and highlighted in the local press. 

For our ECTs, we provide weekly CPD meetings  with experienced members of staff, time-tabled and protected Mentor Meetings on a weekly basis, subject knowledge time with departments, an extensive personalised CPD plan and a two-week paid induction period in June/July.

At The Highcrest Academy, we are fully committed to safeguarding children and put the safety and well-being of our children at the forefront of everything that we do. Therefore you will be required to undergo an DBS Enhanced (including Barred List) Check before taking up your role.  These checks will include details of convictions, cautions, reprimands and warnings, which you may have received, even if they are regarded as ‘spent’ under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. You will also be asked (where appropriate) to let us know immediately of any changes in your circumstances which will have an impact on your criminal record.
