The Local Area

Just 30 minutes by train from Central London, The Highcrest Academy is the first All Ability Academy in in the county of Buckinghamshire.

High Wycombe is a bustling town with a thriving shopping centre which includes both department stores and smaller independent shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs, Wycombe Swan Theatre, a multi-screen cinema and bowling alley.

A recent addition to the area is a Handy Cross Sports Centre boasting swimming, 150 station gym, dance studio(s) and climbing wall, as well as a 12 court sports hall, bowls and squash courts.

We are lucky to be surrounded by many parks, rivers and woodlands, often with the red kite (part of our school badge) flying high above.
