The Highcrest Academy

Do you want to become a Trustee?

What do Trustees do at The Highcrest Academy?

Trustees at the Academy are also Company Directors and Charity Trustees. They are DBS and ID checked. Previously they were known as Governors.

Our meetings are a mixture of face to face and online and you would be expected to attend 4-8 a year (but they may be moving to wholly online). This works out at about 30-40 hours a year (2-3 hours every 2-3  weeks in term time). There would be full training available (face to face, webinar and online) and certain training we ask you complete in the first year, adding 10-20 hours.

The most important qualities of a Trustee are commitment and interest in the future of the Academy, but if you have skills or experience in Financial management, HR, data                                 management and communications, they would be very welcome.

If you might be interested in becoming a Trustee or know someone who might be suitable, please contact me to discuss the responsibilities further.

It is an incredibly rewarding experience to be a Trustee, affecting the education and lives of the pupils of The Highcrest Academy and their families. It will develop your skills and shows you are the type of person who will go the extra mile.
