Performing Arts Department

The Performing Arts Department gives students the opportunity to study Music and Drama from Year 7 – 11 and Performing Arts at Level 3.

In KS3 students will have the opportunity to do Drama once every week for an hour and Music every two weeks for an hour.  We also work closely with the Bucks Music Service to deliver music lessons at school; these will be organised with the Bucks Music Service directly.

The Performing Arts Department also works together to create school shows throughout the year; we offer a musical at Christmas and a pantomime that alternate annually.  We have a school talent show and a summer showcase. The Drama Department works on energise at the Wycombe Swan Theatre and we have been involved with the Shakespeare Schools Festival.  We also run clubs during lunch and after school for all key stages.

We have lots of opportunity for students to go to the theatre both in High Wycombe and in London.  We are also organising a trip to Disneyland Paris where we will have a Musical Theatre Workshop.

The main aim of the Department is to enrich students with understanding of both Music and Drama.
