9-Day fortnight

‘9-Day Fortnight’ Staff Well-being Scheme

From September 2024, we have implemented a 9-day working fortnight for all staff. The premise  is simple, you will work nine days but be paid for ten, using the tenth day to ‘reset’, and thus giving you the opportunity to manage your work-life balance more effectively.

 

Your reset day will be in addition to the mandatory allocation of PPA time.

 

Feedback from our current staff is unsurprisingly positive!  The thought of coming back after a break was less overwhelming and staff say they feel more relaxed, recharged and ready for whatever the next nine working days bring! Plus they save on travelling time and expense and have a little more flexibility.

 

We are committed to the well-being and mental health of our staff and understand the pressures that working in education can place on individuals. We are always looking for ways to improve working conditions and offer our staff incentives that are not always available in education.
